Kyle E. Smith received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas in 1995. He received his Master’s Degree in History from Sam Houston State University in 2012. He then received his Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from Capella University in 2019.
Kyle has served as Staff Attorney and a Prosecuting Attorney for five different state agencies, including the Texas Real Estate Commission, the Texas Medical Board, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. He also served as an Assistant General Counsel at the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and Interim Executive Director at the Texas Funeral Services Commission. He has 20 years’ experience in Administrative Law, mediation and alternative dispute resolution with state regulatory agencies.
Kyle has a passion for disability and civil rights law, and immigration law. Kyle’s primary areas of practice will be immigration, civil rights, criminal defense for first time offenders, and practice before state regulatory agencies representing applicants and licensees.
